The Chittenden County Historical Society 60TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: HISTORY ALIVE!

Vermont Archaeological Society (VAS) will be tabling at the CCHS History Alive event. VAS board members will demonstrate flint knapping, the technique of stone tool making and discuss the materials and processes of flint knapping and lithic technologies, and what they can tell us about past peoples of Vermont. In addition, we will table artifacts and equipment encountered frequently in our field and be present to answer questions from the public about archaeology and the work of VAS.
